This is a Mirror
Material: Glass, Foam board, Monitor, Webcam
Software: Touch design
People always ask an interesting question: Why do I look better in the mirror? The image captured by the lens of a photographic camera distorts our face. Also, the distortion is more substantial, depending on the lens's focal length. Or rather, in the age of various picture angles or glorification of one's aesthetic supremacy, people can't accept less-than-perfect shapes. This work uses the multiple angles of reality combined with virtual deformation to comprehensively show the audience the possibilities of their appearance.
When the viewer is not in the picture, the screen will only display THIS IS A MIRROR to guide the viewer to stand in front of the mirror. When the camera detects the viewer, the screen will present filtered content. Only when the viewer stands quietly in front of the screen will the filters stop working to reveal the viewer's original appearance.
